Regardless of how high the vaccination rate is, it’s still quite dangerous because of the Delta variant. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, if you’re vaccinated, you can still contract the Delta variant, but the infection is more than likely to be significantly less severe. The danger is that you’re capable of spreading the virus to others, even if you aren’t aware that you have the virus. This, combined with a large number of unvaccinated individuals, is what’s leading to another spike of cases in the pandemic.
Considering this information, it’s scary knowing that schools are reopening for in-person classes once again.
